How can I share eCards from SarahJean.ca?

  1. Find an eCard you'd like to share (from over 40 categories available).
  2. Select your chosen eCard (tap/click it) and a pop-up eCard sharing screen will appear.
  3. Choose if you'd like to share your eCard by email or by another share option (sharing screen button).
  4. Finish filling in the information required for your chosen sharing method and share/send your eCard.

Note: SarahJean.ca uses an embedded platform called ecardwidget, to power eCard sharing. It is always free to share eCards from SarahJean.ca. No-account registration is needed.

What may I do with eCards from SarahJean.ca.?

You may:​

  1. Share eCards by email
  2. Share eCards through a messaging channel such as SMS, or Signal (www.signal.org)
  3. Share eCards on Social Media
  4. Share eCards using their direct link (URL)
  5. Download eCards unto your personal electronic device/s to use and share later
  6. Print and Share hardcopies of eCards


What should I avoid doing with eCards from SarahJean.ca?

Please do not:

  • Remove, alter or distort the text, logo or image of an eCard
  • Distribute eCards in a way that will help generate monetary profit for yourself or another individual or entity
  • Use eCards to spam others
  • Post eCards to social media in a way that will be perceived as your own original content.
  • Post eCards to another eCard sharing website, public domain website, or any other private or for-profit website.


What are some tips to ensure my eCard is successfully delivered?

Tips - for when your eCard is sent by eMail:

  1. Check (in your records or previous email received) if the address you plan to use for your recipient is current.
  2. Double check that the recipient address you typed into the form has no typing errors
  3. Check the box to be notified when your recipient their eCard so you can follow up if needed (be sure your sender email address is entered correctly so that you will receive the requested notification.)
  4. Be sure to use the Send button before exiting the page (you will see a green banner assuring you that your ecard is on its way).
  5. If this is your first time to send a SarahJean eCard to a particular recipient, who may or not be familar with SarahJean eCards, you may wish to give them the heads up by call or text that the eCard is on its way.

Why have I not received notification of my eCard being opened?

  • You may have forgotten to check the box requesting to be notified.
  • Your recipient may not have checked their email yet.
  • You may have sent the same ecard to multiple recipients and not all of them have opened their ecard yet. (Notification of an eCard being opened is only sent once. When their are multiple recipients, notification is sent after all recipients have opened the eCard.)
  • Your recipient may have missed seeing your email in their inbox (or their email client may have sorted it to another folder such as junk mail or unfocused folder).
  • You may have made a typing error in your sender email address preventing the notifiction from reaching you.
  • The notification may have ended up in your junk mail folder

​The eCard service available through SarahJean.ca is powered by ecardwidget.com a secure and conscientious service provider, who expertly works to ensure that the delivery of all eCards is safe and seamless. 


If having issues sending eCards by email:

  • You may wish to try sending eCards through another method (select the Share button on the pop-up sharing screen to see other sharing options such as SMS or social media.)

Is the selection of ecards the same in categories with or without music?

When new eCards are created, they will first be added to categories without music. After music segments have been selected for the new eCards, then they will appear in the eCards with Music categories.


Generally speaking, when you see the home page image for a category updated, this indicates that both versions of that category have been fully updated.

How can I create an account with SarahJean.ca?

SarahJean.ca is unable to offer member accounts at this time (none are necessary to access SarahJean eCards).


For those wishing to send ecards to multiple recipients, you may wish to click "Add More" on the form. You can then upload an address book or paste a list of emails for easy bulk sending. (Note: Such uploaded email lists are private and for one-time session use only. Lists will not be stored for future use by you or be accessible to other users.)

How often is the eCard selection updated on SarahJean.ca?

There is no scheduled timeline for updates and/or additions of content to SarahJean.ca. I am thrilled to continue to contribute content when able. Often some content is added multiple times each month.


SarahJean.ca aims to have all eCards shared on the website available for at least 365 days. Even if you sent an eCard and no longer see it offered on the website, it will normally still be viewable to recipients of that eCard for at least 365 days. You accept any risk that may be associated by accessing materials on SarahJean.ca. There may be very rare instances where content is deleted by mistake and/or maintenance of the site makes particular content temporarily or permanently unavailable. Privacy & Accessability

How do you handle privacy of users?

The SarahJean.ca website has been created with the professional Articulation website hosting platform (founded by two Engineers who first helped to create Weebly). Security for this website is handled by professionals to ensure the best level performance and security possible. 


​The eCard service offered on SarahJean.ca is powered by a popular greeting card platform, ecardwidget.com. Your privacy is important and ecardwidget continually seeks to monitor their services to ensure their system is secure and that there is no abuse of the system. Email addresses a user provides in order to share an eCard, will be used only to conduct the eCard service requested. Neither your email address nor the recipient email address will be added to any mailing lists or shared with others. If you request to be notified when your recipient opens their eCard, then you will receive a one-time notification. Senders and recipients' personal data is retained on servers for 90 days for the purpose of displaying the ecard to recipients. After 90 days recipients will still be able to view their ecard but it will lose personalized data. 


If you choose to complete the SarahJean.ca eCard Usage Survey or directly email me, be assured that any personal information given, will remain confidential. I will never pass on your personal information to any other person or entity unless I have obtained your advanced expressed consent, or unless required by law. However, please note that those who assist me with communication may see messages sent to me, or may contact you on my behalf.

How do you seek to address accessibility?

  • providing contrast between text and background colours
  • limiting the use of cursive fonts
  • avoiding scrolling text
  • avoiding flashing images​
  • making every font easily legible

How do you stay in touch with users of SarahJean.ca?

​​I pray for those who may visit SarahJean.ca and for those who may receive eCards from users of SarahJean.ca. I am eager to hear how God may be blessing you through SarahJean eCards. I welcome any who may wish to contact me, to do so. You may receive an semi-automated response, if a personal response will be delayed. Any submission deemed insincere or inappropriate will not receive a personal response.

Why have you not shared your postal address and location?

​I have chosen to let SarahJean.ca be accessed world wide. My personal location and postal address is withheld for safety reasons. If you'd like to connect with me, please do so through the Contact page.

Why have you not provided your phone number?

I am physically unable to receive phone calls.  If you'd like to connect with me please do so though the Contact page.
