The domain name, SarahJean.ca was registered by Sarah Jean Wilson in July 2021, followed by a webhosting platform in February 2022. SarahJean.ca with a first selection of eCards was first made public in February 2023.

My given names, Sarah Jean, were chosen as the name for this personal sharing website because of their rich spiritual meaning.

I, SarahJean (Sarah J. Wilson) am the creator of the content found on SarahJean.ca my personal sharing website.

Background

I am a Pastor's daughter, and am so grateful for the solid biblically based loving upbringing that my parents gave me and my other five siblings. I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal saviour when still a young child. God graciously enabled me to spend six years as a career missionary in Ontario. I have lived with a chronic neurological, neuromuscular degenerative, debilitating disease since acute-onset in my early teens. God continually demonstrates to me how His strength is made perfect in weakness.

Passion for Ministry

The closer God brings me to Himself, the more He places upon my heart the desire to share the love, hope and strength I find in Him with others. It was in prayer for continuing direction of how to do this, that the vision came to me of creating and sharing uplifting biblically based mini messages online, in the form of eCards. At the time this idea seemed quite out of reach, but as I've found again in my life, "God does not call the qualified, He qualifies and enables the called". When we realize our real weakness, physically, emotionally and spiritually and depend on Him, that is when He blesses mightily, and we become truly useful vessels in His hands. I delight to create, make available and share Christian eCards with others and thank the Lord for providing all I need to do so. I am grateful also for the many people who send eCards to help spread the Good News found in Jesus Christ with others. God is at work and He is blessing. Praise God.

Inspiration

God richly blesses my heart and life as I study His Word the Holy Bible, enabling me to be rooted and built up in Him. I enjoy creating eCards that will help me hide God's Word in my heart and share it with others. eCards are created on my laptop from a reclined position in my power wheelchair, from where I live in Northern Ontario. So thankful for technology. I am also grateful for my father who kindly edits my creations, and my mother who also supports and encourages me in these endeavors.

Scripture quotes used in eCards are taken from the English, King James Version (KJV) of the Holy Bible. I appreciate the translational accuracy and poetic flow of the translation and that it is free from copyright.

Images

Images used in eCards are open source, public domain images, and/or images that fall under other content licenses which allow for royalty-free use, which do not require attribution, and which allow for any level of modification. Adapting and combining images choosing fonts and creating and arranging original messages is an enjoyable process.

Music

Music used for eCards (other than for most Songs of the Soul eCards) is open sourced, public domain music, or music that falls under other content licenses which allow for royalty-free use, which do not require attribution, and which allow any level of modification. Searching for music and cutting segments to suit each eCard is an exciting challenging process.
